A mission of World Bank has visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and met with the key counter part of the KPEC Component II. The members of the Work Bank mission were apprised on the ongoing activities of the project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The mission also met with the Secretary Planning & Development Department, Deputy Executive Director Urban Policy and Planning Unit and his team and officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company.

The World Bank’s implementation support mission also held joint meetings with the KPEC Component I, National Highway Authority and Component II, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on environmental & social safeguards, adoption of an integrated Grievance Redressal System for both of the components as well as to review the Module I and II of the Master Plan being developed for the Wester Greater Peshawar i.e. KPEC Development Plan.

Before wrapping up the implementation support mission, the Task Team also called upon Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and shown satisfaction over the implementation of the project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
