Stakeholders met to review the SWOT Analysis of Selected Sites for “International Bus Terminal” Under the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC)

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa intends to establish an “International Bus Terminal” to service the passenger traffic traveling between Pakistan and Afghanistan including Central Asian countries under the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) Project.  KPEC has engaged “Osmani & Company (Pvt.) Ltd., (Pakistan) JV BOTEK Bosphorus Technical Consulting Corporation (Turkey)” to prepare the “Master Plan and Feasibility Study of an International Bus. The consultants submitted the SWOT Analysis regarding potential sites for establishing the International Bus Terminal (IBT) thoroughly highlighting the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats associated with each of the options/ selected locations.

A meeting was held at the KPEC Project Management Unit (PMU) attended by the stakeholder departments and the National Highway Authority (NHA) Component of KPEC to review and deliberate on the SWOT Analysis. The participating stakeholders provided their feedback regarding the proposed potential sites for the establishment of the International Bus Terminal (IBT) which was shared with the consultant for incorporation into the SWOT Analysis.
