KPEC, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa apprised the members of Project Review and Advisory Committee (PRAC) on Development of Master Plan for Western Greater Peshawar

Khyber Pass Economic Corridor Project, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has signed contract with National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) Private Limited to do Master Planning for the Western Greater Peshawar Region. The major outputs of the assignment are a Development Plan for the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor, Master Plan for Jamrud and Landikotal as future Urban Hubs as well as Feasibility studies of key infrastructural investment identified under the KPEC Development Plan for the region.

Module I and II of the Western Greater Peshawar Master Plan are the key milestones laying firm foundation for the rest of the outputs therefore KPEC, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has organized a workshop attended by the members of the KPEC’s Review and Advisory Committee (PRAC) to present the final draft of the Module I and II incorporating the inputs from the PRAC members before submitting these to the Project Steering Committee for final approval.

A team of experts from NESPAK (Pvt.) Limited has presented the finalized version of the modules before the Members of the PRAC while members of the World Bank Implementation Support Mission along with Urban Development Specialist of the World Bank have also attended the workshop.

PRAC members and World Bank mission appreciated the efforts put in by the consultant to finalize module I and II of the assignment and emphasized that NESPAK should expedite the process and submit the KPEC Development Plan on priority.
