Environmental & Social Safeguards Awareness and Stakeholder Consultation workshop
KPEC PMU organized a two day Consultative workshop on Environmental and Social Safeguards Policies of the World Bank, Environmental Protection Act 2014 and Environmental Assessment Rules 2021 of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at Nathia Gali on August 4th & 5th 2022.
During the Workshop, Project Review and Advisory Committee (PRAC) included of representatives from Local Government, Urban Policy Unit, SMEDA, Transport, Industries &Tourism Department, National High Way Authority (NHA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and KPEZDMC were brief on the scope of the project components.
KPEC has engaged M/s NESPAK for the master planning of Greater Western Peshawar. During the workshop Contract signing Ceremony was also held between PMU KPEC and M/S NESPAK. The event was also graced by World Bank Group representatives including the task team leader, component II of the project and others.
